Beginning HEMA: German Longsword
 
This course will introduce students to HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) with learning the knightly art of the German Longsword. The first half of the course will focus largely on learning the fundamentals of medieval fencing: footwork, body mechanics, and controlling the sword. Through solo and paired drills, students will learn a variety of guard positions, attacks, defenses and basic fencing theory before moving on to more advanced techniques and concepts. Safe Sleep and Care for Infants
 

Pregnancy can be an exciting time, but many moms-to-be are nervous too. Receive information on creating a safe sleep environment, the effects of smoke exposure, testing and risk reduction for the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases during pregnancy, and the benefits of breastfeeding. Moms-to-be will get tips for talking to other caretakers regarding your baby's needs. Light refreshments will be provided. All moms will walk away with a pack ‘n play, fitted sheet, sleeps sack, and diaper bag full of goodies.

If you enroll in the smoking cessation program you, and others living in your home, are may be eligible for a $25 per month diaper voucher.  Only pregnant moms should register for the class, but each mom should bring one support person (dad, grandma/pa, auntie/uncle). Please register both people.
