Intermediate Birding

Description

Build on basic birding skills by traveling to various Davidson County birding hotspots, selected to highlight diverse habitats. Students will learn how to use a spotting scope, determine locations based on season/weather, utilize data and differentiate similar species. Students will come away with a great beginning "life list" of birds, as well as knowing some of the best local places to go birding on their own.

Prerequisites: Completion of NCE's Beginning Birding or a working understanding of bird identification, using field guides, eBird, and binocular usage.
