For small, minority, and women-owned businesses (S/MWBE) the world of government contracting can often feel overwhelming. Recent changes to Metro Nashville’s minority business programs are meant to help ease that burden and increase the number of government contracts going to these traditionally disadvantaged enterprises. Come hear from Rodney Strong, principal author of the 2018 Metro Disparity Study, and Michelle Hernandez-Lane, Metro’s Chief Procurement Officer, about how small, minority and women-owned businesses can benefit from new programming available through Metro Nashville. Metro Purchasing Agents will also be on-hand to help provide additional information and register businesses.
